It’s not every day you get to capture a traditional Portugese wedding and Christening all in one day but on this special day we did. 

Despite the heavy rain in the morning, nothing was going to stop the abundance of smiles and joy flooding the room with happiness. Ana and João got married at ‘Sé Catedral’ in Silves- a stunning cathedral with ceilings so high that we needed a wide angle lens just to capture the top of the building. Followed by the baptism of their adorable little boy ‘Artur’.

After being showered by the confetti rice we convoyed over to ‘As Fontes Wedding’, a venue hidden away in the heart of Alte.  If anyone is looking for truly spectacular wedding venue away from the crowds take a look at this medieval themed castle, it won’t disappoint. Not only are the grounds picture perfect, the staff are wonderful and a special thanks goes to Pedro for making us feel so welcomed from the second we arrived. 

It’s safe to say, in the 16 years of capturing weddings we’ve never seen so much food! From the canapés upon arrival to the 5 course meal followed by the largest evening buffet we’ve ever seen. 

Pure love and a roar of happiness filled the roof of the castle as Ana and João cut their cake.  

Ana, João and your gorgeous little boy, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and laughter together.
